Pairus is built for professional matchmakers and relationship consultants. This page explains, in plain language, where Pairus information comes from and how to use it responsibly.

What Pairus does

Pairus helps you:

  • Find people efficiently across large datasets
  • Understand how someone communicates and connects using behavioral signals inferred from public presence
  • Trust your introduction process by surfacing potential risk signals from open-web sources

Pairus supports professional judgment. It does not replace it.

Where Pairus data comes from

Pairus combines information from three categories of sources:

1) Licensed professional data providers

These are commercial datasets that compile professional profile information at scale. They typically include details such as:

  • Name, role, company, industry, location
  • Public professional profile references (for example, profile URLs)

2) Publicly available sources

Pairus may analyze information that is publicly accessible on the open web, such as:

  • Public professional profiles
  • Public posts and public activity
  • Public articles and references

Pairus does not access private messages or private content.

3) Open-web adverse media signals

Pairus Shield surfaces possible risk signals by scanning open-web sources for relevant mentions. At launch, this is focused on adverse media only.

What "adverse media only" means

At launch, Pairus Shield is designed to detect and summarize:

  • Public news or articles that mention an individual
  • Public allegations or legal mentions that appear in open-web sources
  • Other public references that may be relevant to risk assessment

Pairus Shield is not:

  • Identity verification
  • Criminal background checks
  • A replacement for regulated compliance tools
  • A guarantee of truth, guilt, or innocence

When Shield flags something, it is a signal to review sources carefully and apply professional discretion.

What Pairus does not do

To stay responsible and compliant, Pairus does not:

  • Access private databases or private communications
  • Perform KYC or identity verification
  • Guarantee that profiles or outputs are complete or accurate
  • Make decisions for you
  • Recommend harassment, discrimination, or unethical targeting

How to use Pairus responsibly

Pairus is designed to strengthen good professional practice. We recommend:

Use insights as context, not conclusions

Pairus outputs are decision support. Treat them as additional context for your process, not final truth.

Verify when it matters

If a result affects a high-stakes introduction, review the sources and confirm details using your established professional workflow.

Avoid misuse

Do not use Pairus to:

  • harass, discriminate, or exploit individuals
  • run spam outreach or unsolicited bulk targeting
  • make regulated eligibility decisions (employment, credit, housing, insurance)

Respect discretion and privacy

Even when information is public, professional discretion matters. Use Pairus to support thoughtful introductions, not to amplify gossip or speculation.
